A FUN Newborn Session | Seattle Newborn Photographer

A mother holding her newborn baby by a window, Seattle Newborn Photographer

Let’s face it–having a Seattle newborn photographer take photos in your own home sounds a bit nerve wracking, right?  You worry about the kids, the dog, whether the baby will be crying the whole time, and you worry about what you should wear.

I’m here to tell you that it’s OK.  Relax, and enjoy the moment.  I’m just a nearly silent observer, allowing your family to go about their usual routine, with just a few small nudges toward the light.

It’s ok to jump off the furniture, just this once!  (Ok, only if Mom says yes. )

Maddox | Kirkland Newborn Photographer

As a Kirkland newborn photographer, my goal with each lifestyle newborn photography session is to capture the real moments that happen when you least expect them.  Toddlers, especially, are the funniest little creatures and their antics are what truly makes my job SO much fun.

This family contacted me this past summer to document their new family of 4 once their son Maddox was born.  They truly loved the idea of a Lifestyle Newborn Session, and I couldn’t have been happier to bring it to life!

Little Miss Harper | Seattle Newborn Photographer

As a Seattle newborn photographer, I feel contentment deep within my soul when meeting brand new babies.  Lifestyle newborn sessions are a wonderful way to capture life with this tiny bundle.  Being able to capture so many real-life moments, as they happen, is a treat.  The more I continue on this journey, the more I realize how much more impacting a shot can be when captured in the moment.  Real life shines through sessions like these, and each one is solidly unique to your own family.  The interactions you see happened right before my eyes, with each moment being true to life.

There’s no timeline that must be kept to–no 14 day deadline.  This sweet baby was 2 months old when I met her for the first time in her family’s beautiful Seattle home.  Harper was a doll to photograph–her eyes followed my every turn.  She was expressive, happy, and all too adorable.

As a Seattle family photographer, it is my delight to present these types of sessions as a new and exciting way to capture the new addition to your family.
